OpenShift Engineer

Description

We are seeking an experienced OpenShift Engineer to join our team in India. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing container orchestration platforms and will be responsible for deploying, managing, and optimizing OpenShift environments.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage OpenShift clusters in a production environment.
• Monitor and optimize the performance of OpenShift applications and infrastructure.
• Collaborate with development teams to automate deployment pipelines using CI/CD practices.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OpenShift and containerized applications.
• Implement security best practices for OpenShift environments.
• Conduct regular backups and recovery testing for OpenShift clusters.

Skills and Qualifications

• 5-10 years of experience with OpenShift or Kubernetes orchestration platforms.
• Proficiency in containerization technologies (Docker, Podman).
• Strong knowledge of Linux operating systems and command-line tools.
• Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.) for automation tasks.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or similar.
• Understanding of networking concepts related to container networking and services.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and their integration with OpenShift.
