Job Context:
UltraTech Cement Ltd. is the largest manufacturer of grey cement, Ready Mix Concrete (RMC) and white cement in India. The company has consolidated capacity of 116.75 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA)of grey cement. UltraTech Cement has 23 integrated plants, 1 clinker station plant, 26 grinding units and 7 bulk terminals. Its operations span across India, UAE, Bahrain and Sri Lanka. UltraTech Cement is also Indias largest exporter of cement reaching out to meet the demand in countries around the Indian Ocean and the Middle East. Job Challenges: Sparse locations make it difficult to organize and manage door delivery on timely basis. Ensuring safety of Material Storage area

The major challenges for the said position shall be as below:
  • Following of Systems and Procedures and SOPs for Procurement Functions & processes.
  • Undertake negotiations and finalization of Service Order and Store and Spares order and Raw Material and Fuel.
  • Cost saving by developing new source.
  • Develop various cost optimization tools like Lead time analysis, item categorization, Rate contract, VMI , New vendor development .
  • Floating Enquiries, collecting quotations, their evaluation, and negotiations.
  • Preparing Techno-comm. Comparison/proposal and arranging required approvals.
  • Order placement.- Service and Store and Spares.
  • Proper documentation as per SOP.
  • Preparing delivery schedule and close follow up with vendors for timely deliveries.
  • interdepartmental Coordination.
  • Vendor identification and selection, development, and Vendor management.
  • Involving in day-to-day activities of purchasing starting from sending enquiries, comparison, negotiation, Releasing Purchase Orders.
  • Vendor follow-ups for on timely delivery of ROL items.
  • Maintain all legal & statutory norms and comply with IMS requirements To form Service Level Agreement (SLA) with users and achieve good SLA scores through improvement in quality, quantity ,price ,delivery & lead time of ROL items .
  • Developing self and subordinates by trainings, coaching, and guiding.
  • Adhere to safety norms & safe operational procedures
  • Adhere to IMS and sustainability norms
  • Proficiency in SAP , MS- Excel & PPT
Key Result Areas
KRA (Accountabilities) (Max 1325 Characters) Supporting Actions (Max 1325 Characters) KRA1 Ensuring smooth handling operations Placement of indent for delivery of material under proper planning. Coordinate with vendor for delivery in time. Receipt & issue of materials with following SOP. Dip measurement of tanker for checking of correctness of weight. Maximize the Issue of materials through door delivery whereas applicable. Issue pass posting in SAP timely. Shift wise stock verification (Book and physical both). Coordination with user departments for fulfilling the material requirements. KRA2 MIS/ Management Reports Timely and accurate preparation of various Reports, records and MIS Ensuring timely and correct entries and posting in various business software (SAP, MDRM). Preparation of necessary documentation (Book and physical both). KRA3 Legal and Statutory Compliances To review Legal compliances applicable to diesel storage and ensure their compliances. Proactive action for calibration & stamping of equipment from weight & measure s officials. Proactive action for license renewal activities related to PESO. Co-ordinate, maintain and implement the recommendations of auditor / inspecting authorities. Close and take corrective actions for all the NCR s during external or internal audits. Preparing proper records of all legal and statutory compliances KRA4 Ensuring Safety, Health and Environmental Compliances -Compliance of applicable safety standards in the section to ensure 0 LTIFR. -Demonstrating Visible Felt Leadership by conducting daily walkthrough rounds. -To develop competency in safety standards by timely completing trainings on various safety standards. -Conducting scheduled SO Round and reporting in MySetu -Timely reporting of accidents, incidents and near misses occurrences and complete incident investigation as per IISC Guidelines. -Supporting and taking lead in functioning of safety standard assigned by Apex Safety Committee. KRA5 Ensuring IMS & WCM Compliances - Adherence ABOEF related activity like Kaizen, OPL, Suggestion, Good to find as per defined target. - Implementation of all approved suggestions - Ensuring proper 5S in office and stores and score of concern GRTs. - Developing of New Model area and sustaining current model area. - Ensure to conduct quarter audit by cross function GRT team. - Maintaining documentation in conformity to IMS & ISO standards. - To actively participate in IMS and WCM activities.
