Officer - Instrumentation

Roles & Responsibilities

Execute preventive and breakdown maintenance of plant instrumentation systems to ensure smooth and uninterrupted production of liquid lines (mixing, batching, filling, capping, labeling).

Routine calibration & verification of critical instruments:

Flow meters, load cells, pressure and temperature transmitters

Level sensors for mixing tanks, storage tanks, filling machines

Control valves, solenoid valves, dosing pumps & automation panels

Troubleshoot and maintain PLC / SCADA systems used in batching, CIP, filling, packing and utility equipment.

Monitor and troubleshoot weigher-based filling & dosing instrumentation to reduce rejection and improve accuracy.

Support commissioning and validation of new machinery, filling lines, lab equipment, instrumentation panels, and automation upgrades.

Maintain calibration records, breakdown logs, instrument history cards and statutory compliance documentation.

Coordinate with external vendors, OEMs and service providers for AMC and automation support.

Ensure instrumentation safety compliance: LOTO, PPE usage, electrical isolation, hazardous chemical handling areas.

Provide engineering support for ZLD/ETP, utilities such as boilers, compressors, chillers, RO plants and pumps.

Technical Skills Required

Strong hands-on exposure with filling & packaging line instrumentation

Good understanding of pneumatics, solenoid valves, control valves

Working knowledge of PLC/SCADA/DCS platforms Siemens/Allen Bradley/ABB

Knowledge of industrial networking and communication protocols (HART, Modbus, Profibus)

Ability to interpret P&ID, wiring diagrams, I/O list and loop diagrams

Calibration tools and measurement techniques

SAP/CMMS entry & spare parts planning (added advantage)
