The office Assistant in the Accounts Department is responsible for providing day-to-day assistance to the accounts and administrative staff by ensuring timely movement of files, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting document handling, banking, and general office duties.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Accounting & Office Support

  • Carry vouchers, bills, cheques, and documents to and from other departments and offices.
  • Submit and collect documents from banks, auditors, and other external offices as instructed.
  • Assist in filing and organizing accounting records, vouchers, and receipts.
  • Support in photocopying, scanning, and arranging documents for audit and verification.
  • Help in maintaining stationery and office supply stock for the Accounts Department.

2. Administrative Assistance

  • Deliver internal correspondence and ensure proper communication flow within the office.
  • Assist in setting up files, ledgers, and other records for easy accessibility.
  • Help arrange refreshments during meetings and support visiting officials or auditors.
  • Handle errands and small tasks as directed by the Accounts Officer or Accountant.

3. Maintenance & Upkeep

  • Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of the Accounts Department office area.
  • Maintain proper arrangement of furniture, files, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance or repair needs promptly to the concerned personnel.

4. General Responsibilities

  • Maintain confidentiality of all financial and administrative documents.
  • Adhere to institutional discipline, punctuality, and code of conduct.
  • Perform any other duties assigned by the Accounts Officer or Administrative Officer.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Minimum Qualification: 12th / 10th pass/Diplomo (or equivalent).
  • Prior experience as an Attender, preferably in an Accounts or Administrative Department.
  • Basic knowledge of office procedures and etiquette.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, and able to handle confidential information.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Work Conditions:

  • Location: PSGR Krishnammal College for Women.
  • Working Hours: 8:30 a.m. – 6:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday
  • Employment Type: Full-time.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
