Offer & Proposal- Sizing

Role & responsibilities

1. Proposal Development:

• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to understand customer requirements and RFQs (Request for Quotations). Develop accurate and competitive technical and commercial proposals. Ensure all proposals meet client specifications, company standards, and compliance requirements.

2. Equipment Sizing & Selection:

• Perform sizing and selection of mechanical equipment based on process data, customer needs, and operating conditions. Utilize in-house tools and engineering calculations for equipment configuration (e.g., hydro cyclones, screens, mill liners, chutes, pumps, etc.). Support R&D and engineering teams in customizing solutions as needed.

3. Cost Estimation & Pricing:

• Work closely with the procurement and manufacturing departments to generate accurate cost estimates. Prepare detailed BOMs (Bill of Materials), cost breakdowns, and pricing structures. Assist in defining the scope of supply and prepare offer summaries.

4. Documentation & Reporting:

• Prepare proposal documentation including technical datasheets, general arrangement drawings (if applicable), and compliance matrices. Maintain proposal tracking and documentation in CRM or project management systems. Provide regular updates to management on proposal status, win/loss analysis, and pipeline health.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination:

• Liaise with design, engineering, supply chain, and production teams for input and validation. Participate in technical discussions and clarification meetings with clients and internal stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Education:

  Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering or related field.

• Experience:

  3–5 years in a similar role within mechanical manufacturing, preferably in mining, mineral processing, or heavy industrial equipment.
• Solid understanding of mineral processing systems and equipment.
• Experience with sizing and selection of mechanical components.
• Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD/SolidWorks (or similar), and ERP/CRM tools.
• Familiarity with proposal writing and cost estimation.
