Ocean Import Customer Service

You are an experienced and customer-focused Senior Ocean Import Customer Service professional with expertise in handling Full Container Load (FCL) and Less than Container Load (LCL) shipments. Your primary responsibility is to coordinate and manage end-to-end ocean import operations, ensuring smooth cargo movement and timely communication with import customers. As the main point of contact for import customers, you will liaise with shipping lines, overseas agents, customs brokers, transporters, and internal departments to track incoming shipments and provide status updates to clients. You will review and process all import documentation, handle customer queries, and maintain accurate records in the system while ensuring compliance with local and international import regulations and company SOPs. To excel in this role, you should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in ocean import customer service, specifically dealing with Indian FCL & LCL shipments. Strong knowledge of import regulations, documentation, and customs procedures in India is essential. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, proficiency in MS Office and freight forwarding software, attention to detail, and organizational skills are also required to manage multiple shipments simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. Collaboration with the accounts team for invoicing and billing accuracy, and continuous efforts towards improving service delivery and client satisfaction are vital aspects of this role. A Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, International Trade, or related field, along with prior experience with multinational freight forwarders or logistics companies, would be advantageous.,
