About the Role


This is a full-time on-site role for a Occcupational Therapist at Lissun located in Pune.


The Occupational Therapist (Children) will provide comprehensive occupational therapy services to children with a variety of developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges. The OT will assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs to promote independence, improve functional skills, and enhance the quality of life for children and their families.

Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Evaluation:

    Conduct comprehensive assessments of children's developmental, physical, sensory, and cognitive abilities.
  • Utilize standardized assessments, clinical observations, and parent/caregiver interviews to gather relevant information.
  • Interpret assessment results to identify areas of need and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Treatment Planning and Implementation:

    Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and child/family goals.
  • Provide direct occupational therapy interventions, including therapeutic activities, sensory integration techniques, and adaptive equipment training.
  • Modify treatment plans as needed based on child progress and changing needs.
  • Provide therapy within a variety of settings, which can include clinics, schools, homes, and community settings.
  • Family Collaboration and Education:

    Collaborate with parents/caregivers to develop and implement home programs.
  • Provide education and training to parents/caregivers on therapeutic techniques, adaptive equipment use, and strategies to promote child independence.
  • Maintain open communication with families to ensure ongoing collaboration and support.
  • Documentation and Reporting:

    Maintain accurate and timely documentation of assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare reports for parents, physicians, and other professionals as needed.
  • Adhere to all ethical and legal requirements related to patient confidentiality and documentation.
  • Collaboration and Teamwork:

    Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including physicians, physical therapists, speech therapists, and educators.
  • Participate in team meetings and case conferences.
  • Provide consultation and education to other professionals as needed.
  • Professional Development:

    Stay current with evidence-based practices and advancements in pediatric occupational therapy.
  • Participate in continuing education activities and professional development opportunities.
  • Maintain licensure and certification requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in India.
  • Experience working with children with a variety of developmental, physical, and cognitive challenges.
  • Knowledge of pediatric assessment tools and treatment techniques.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Compassionate and patient demeanor.
