Job Description

As a Nurse Supervisor, your role involves completing patient care requirements by effectively managing nurses" shifts, assigning nurses to patients, and ensuring nursing operational standards are met. It is crucial to maintain the Nurse: Patient ratio based on the unit's scope and patient condition while considering the competency of allocated staff. Quality assurance of nursing documentation and patient records must be consistently upheld, with all nurses" documentations cross-verified and signed during rounds. Key Responsibilities: - Implement mentor/mentor body system for patient allocation by team leaders/Charge Nurses - Ensure adherence to proper ISBAR record/Endorsement toolkit during handovers - Safely facilitate inter-departmental patient transfers - Identify vulnerable patients and conduct proper assessments at regular intervals - Screen patients requiring pain management upon admission and ensure timely reassessment - Verify all patient indents for drugs and medical consumables in a secure manner - Cross-check medication storage according to manufacturers" recommendations - Maintain Crash cart with consistent checklist pattern and replenish used items promptly - Route incident reports to Quality department for RCA & CAPA analysis - Monitor staff adherence to protocol and medication rights during administration - Supervise standard precautions, hand hygiene, safe linen management, cleaning, disinfection, sterilization, and biomedical waste practices - Oversee Isolation practices and hazardous materials handling by nursing personnel - Educate and train new nurses, evaluate performance, and assist Nursing Superintendent/Deputy Nursing Superintendent - Inform patients" families about medical procedures and doctors" instructions - Provide emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients, friends, and families - Maintain patient confidentiality and audit patient and department records - Ensure service entries are accurately documented against patients - Manage medical and administrative equipment operation, maintenance, and inventory - Offer clinical expertise in managing medical emergencies - Maintain nursing supplies inventory and attend educational workshops Additionally, your role involves collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary staff to implement patient care, maintain a cooperative relationship among healthcare teams, meet patients daily to ensure adherence to nursing standards, monitor Quality Indicators, identify patient service requirements, and resolve patient needs through multidisciplinary team strategies. Please note: This is a full-time position with a rotational shift schedule and requires in-person work.,
