Key Responsibilities: Prepare, cook, and present authentic North Indian dishes (curries, tandoor items, biryanis, kebabs, breads, sweets, etc.). Develop and maintain traditional recipes while ensuring consistent taste, presentation, and quality. Manage kitchen operations for North Indian section, including food preparation, cooking, and plating. Ensure proper usage and maintenance of tandoor, grills, and other kitchen equipment. Monitor food inventory, portion control, and minimize wastage. Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness, and food safety as per FSSAI guidelines. Innovate new North Indian dishes and seasonal menus in line with customer preferences. Supervise and train junior cooks and kitchen helpers. Coordinate with purchasing staff to ensure timely availability of fresh ingredients. Requirements: Proven experience as a North Indian Chef / Tandoor Chef / Curry Chef in a restaurant or hotel. Strong knowledge of North Indian cuisine, including vegetarian dishes. Expertise in handling tandoor (naan, roti, kebabs, tikkas) and traditional curries. Ability to work under pressure and maintain consistency in high-volume service. Good communication and teamwork skills. Diploma/Certificate in Culinary Arts (preferred but not mandatory). Qualities Desired: Passion for authentic Indian food. Creativity in introducing modern twists while retaining traditional flavors. Attention to detail and commitment to quality.
