Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and experienced North Indian Cook to prepare a wide variety of authentic North Indian dishes. The ideal candidate will have deep knowledge of traditional spices, cooking techniques, and presentation styles from regions such as Punjab, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Rajasthan. Key Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of North Indian vegetarian and non-vegetarian dishes (e.g., curries, breads, tandoori items, biryanis, dals, etc.) Operate and maintain kitchen equipment such as tandoor ovens, gas ranges, and grinders Maintain hygiene and food safety standards in accordance with local regulations Plan daily menus and assist in inventory and stock management Control portion sizes and minimize food waste Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation Work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment, individually and as part of a team Skills and Qualifications: Proven experience as a North Indian Cook or Chef (2+ years preferred) Strong knowledge of Indian spices, ingredients, and traditional recipes Familiarity with Tandoor cooking (breads like naan, roti; kebabs, etc.) Ability to follow recipes and create dishes with consistency Good time management and organizational skills Basic understanding of food hygiene and safety procedures Preferred Qualifications: Culinary training or certification in Indian cuisine (optional) Experience in a restaurant, catering service, or hotel setting Ability to read and understand basic English or Hindi/Kannada Work Schedule: Full-time / Part-time Split shifts or rotational shifts may apply Weekend and holiday availability preferred
