The News Reporter is responsible for researching, investigating, writing, and delivering accurate and engaging news stories across multiple platforms. This role involves covering local, national, or international events; conducting interviews; verifying facts; and presenting information in a clear, compelling, and timely manner. The ideal candidate has a passion for journalism, strong storytelling skills, and the ability to work under tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Research, investigate, and develop story ideas relevant to the target audience.
• Conduct interviews with sources, experts, and eyewitnesses to gather firsthand information.
• Write clear, accurate, and engaging news articles, scripts, or reports for broadcast, print, or digital media.
• Verify facts and ensure the accuracy, balance, and fairness of all content produced.
• Attend press conferences, public meetings, and events to gather information and report live when required.
• Collaborate with editors, photographers, videographers, and producers to create complete news packages.
• Stay updated on current events, trends, and breaking news stories.
• Adhere to ethical journalism standards and organizational editorial policies.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Communications, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a reporter, journalist, or correspondent preferred.
• Excellent writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interviewing, research, and fact-checking abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency with digital publishing tools, social media, and multimedia storytelling.
• Flexibility to work irregular hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• High level of integrity, curiosity, and commitment to truth and accuracy.

Work Environment:

News Reporters may work in newsrooms, on-location, or remotely, depending on the assignment. The role often requires travel, tight deadlines, and rapid response to breaking news situations.

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹26,596.71 per month
