Networking Specialist

As a Networking Specialist at NTT DATA, your role will involve analyzing and supporting the telecommunications network to meet business and customer requirements. You will be responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and troubleshooting telecommunications components to ensure a secure and high-performance network. Your expertise will be crucial in capacity planning, resource management, and contingency planning to mitigate the risks of telecommunications failures. Key Responsibilities: - Analyze, maintain, monitor, and troubleshoot telecom components - Plan for resources, capacity, and risk mitigation - Address root causes and ensure timely fixes - Test transmission mediums and infrastructure - Develop and maintain telecom DR plans - Use specialized tools to assess global telecom infrastructure - Maintain broad knowledge of telecom systems - Maintain infrastructure for data forensics and security compliance - Identify and implement process improvements Qualifications Required: - Minimum 5-7 years of experience in telecom/network support roles - Proficiency with Wireshark and packet captures is a must - Complete understanding of socket connection and termination steps - Knowledge of Spanning Tree, ARP, DHCP, DNS, WAN/LAN, TCP/UDP - Certifications like CCNA/CCNP (Cisco), CompTIA Network+, or similar are preferred - Experience with global networks and security compliance is a strong differentiator NTT DATA is a $30 billion global innovator of business and technology services, serving 75% of the Fortune Global 100.
