Network Specialist

We are looking for a Network Specialist with strong hands-on expertise in enterprise networking, traffic analysis, and network management. This role focuses on the direct configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of network infrastructure, requiring deep technical skills across protocols, monitoring tools, and flow analysis technologies such as NetFlow and sFlow.
Key ResponsibilitiesNetwork Configuration & MaintenanceConfigure, manage, and troubleshoot routers, switches, firewalls, load balancers, and wireless controllers.Implement and maintain LAN, WAN, WLAN, VPN, and cloud connectivity solutions.Ensure optimal performance of routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, MPLS).Traffic Monitoring & AnalysisDeploy, configure, and analyze NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX, and other flow technologies.Perform deep packet inspection and traffic flow analysis using Wireshark, tcpdump, and similar tools.Identify bottlenecks, latency, and performance anomalies, providing actionable solutions.Protocol TroubleshootingWork with TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP, ICMP, DNS, DHCP, ARP, VLANs, and other networking standards.Conduct detailed troubleshooting of connectivity issues at all OSI layers.Perform root cause analysis and support resolution of complex incidents.Network ManagementAdminister monitoring platforms (SolarWinds, PRTG, Nagios, etc.) for performance and fault management.Maintain accurate network diagrams, asset inventory, and configuration records.Support change management by testing and validating new configurations.Security SupportAssist in firewall rule configuration, IDS/IPS tuning, and NAC implementations.Monitor for suspicious traffic patterns and collaborate with security teams to mitigate risks.Apply security best practices to ensure compliance and reduce vulnerabilities.CollaborationProvide Tier 2/3 technical support for escalated network issues.Work closely with systems, security, and application teams to align networking with business needs.Document troubleshooting steps, fixes, and standard operating procedures.Required Skills & QualificationsHands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco, Juniper, or equivalent enterprise network devices.Strong knowledge of flow monitoring protocols (NetFlow, sFlow, IPFIX).Proficiency with packet capture and analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump).3-5 years of direct experience in network operations or engineering.Solid understanding of routing, switching, and network segmentation.Bachelors degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent experience.Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, JNCIA/JNCIS or similar are highly desirable.Preferred ExperienceFamiliarity with network automation (Python, Ansible, REST APIs).Experience with cloud networking (AWS, Azure, GCP).Exposure to SD-WAN, network virtualization, and modern monitoring technologies.Soft SkillsStrong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Clear communication and documentation skills.Ability to work in fast-paced, high-pressure environments with minimal supervision.
