Job Title: Network Security Specialist

Business Function/Sub Function: IT Infra & Operation

Location: Noida, India

Role Purpose

The Network Security Specialist is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organisation s network security infrastructure in a multi-tenant, multinational company working within the Azure environment. This role ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of data and systems by protecting against internal and external threats, monitoring for vulnerabilities, and responding to security incidents.

Key Responsibilities

Network Security Administration

o Configure, manage, and monitor firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and other network security devices.

o Implement and maintain network segmentation, access controls, and secure network architectures.

o Monitor network traffic for suspicious activity and respond to alerts and incidents.

Threat Detection & Response

o Conduct regular vulnerability assessments and penetration testing.

o Investigate and respond to security breaches, incidents, and malware outbreaks.

o Maintain incident response plans and participate in security drills.

Policy & Compliance

o Develop, implement, and enforce network security policies and procedures.

o Ensure compliance with relevant standards (ISO 27001, GDPR, etc.) and regulatory requirements.

o Support audits and provide documentation as required.

Continuous Improvement

o Stay updated with the latest security threats, trends, and technologies.

o Recommend and implement improvements to enhance network security posture.

o Conduct security awareness training for staff.

Collaboration & Reporting

o Work closely with IT teams, business units, and external vendors.

o Provide regular reports on network security status, risks, and incidents.

o Advise on secure network design for new projects and initiatives.

Essential Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in network security administration in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.

Strong knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and network protocols.

Experience with security monitoring tools (SIEM, packet analyzers, etc.).

Proficiency in vulnerability assessment and penetration testing.

Familiarity with cloud security (Azure, AWS, etc.) is a plus.

Understanding of security frameworks and compliance standards.

Qualifications

Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or related field.

Relevant certifications (preferred but not mandatory):

o Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP)

o Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

o Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security

o CompTIA Security+

ITIL Foundation or equivalent knowledge of IT service management is a plus.

Strong knowledge of ITIL processes, service management tools, automation, and PowerShell scripting.

Proven experience in leading IT support teams, managing IT projects, and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to work across different time zones as per business needs.

Strong analytical mindset, with a focus on continuous improvement and automation.
