Network Security Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Administer and maintain network firewalls, routers, switches, load balancers, and proxy systems.
• Monitor business-critical systems, identify escalations, and collaborate with track leads for resolution.
• Troubleshoot and resolve high-priority issues related to network security devices and configurations.
• Engage in change management processes for hardware and software upgrades, configuration changes, and security rule modifications.
• Document and maintain network diagrams, implementation logs, and detailed closure summaries for tickets.
• Continuously enhance technical knowledge through learning and obtaining relevant certifications.

• Hold a Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.
• Have a minimum of 5 years of experience as a Network Security Engineer, with expertise in multi-vendor network devices.
• Possess strong technical skills in firewalls, VPNs, load balancers, and security management tools.
• Demonstrate excellent communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills, with a client-oriented approach.

Education:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
