About Position:

Role: Network Security Engineer
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 5 to 7 Years
Job Type: Full Time Employment

\What You'll Do:

Troubleshoot and resolve more complex network issues escalated from L1: routing, switching, connectivity, firewall, VPN, load balancers, etc
Network Voice Administration and Troubleshooting (Cisco, Genesys platform and Teams)
Configure and maintain enterprise network infrastructure: routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, LAN/WAN components; implement changes, patches, upgrades.
Monitor network and security devices; analyze logs/alerts; manage network security (firewall rules, VPN configurations, IDS/IPS where applicable).
Implement remediation to all identified vulnerabilities across infrastructure components
Perform root cause analysis for recurring or complex issues; identify and propose improvements to avoid future incidents.
Maintain documentation of configurations, changes, incidents, network diagrams, and support activities.
Collaborate with other IT teams (security, server/cloud, support) and possibly vendors for hardware/software fixes or upgrades.
assist in planning and executing medium-level changes or network enhancements (e.g. capacity upgrades, new VPN deployments, additional security configurations).

Expertise You'll Bring:

Certifications like CCNA / CCNP, or security-related certifications; familiarity with enterprise firewall/VPN tools (e.g. Fortinet, Cisco, etc.).
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Strong knowledge of networking protocols (BGP / OSPF / MPLS / VPN / LAN-WAN) and security fundamentals (firewalls, VPNs,
IDS/IPS
, secure remote access).
Good diagnostic, analytical skills, ability to use network-monitoring and protocol-analysis tools (Wireshark, tcpdump, SIEM/log tools).
Good documentation and team-communication skills; possibly shift/work flexible hours depending on business needs.
