Network Security Engineer

The Global Supplier Connectivity team is dedicated to delivering secure connectivity services to Suppliers and Trade Partners. This includes managing firewalls (both physical and virtual), virtual hosting systems, VPN solutions, management tools, security systems, and remote access solutions such as Zscaler & Prisma. As a member of this team, you will be responsible for creating, maintaining, and auditing the security of connections and accesses to internal resources within the Company. This position will require you to work collaboratively with team members located in Valencia (Spain), Chennai (India), and Dearborn (USA). Required Education: - Bachelors Degree in Networks or Computer Science. - Proficiency in English language (at least C1 level). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. - Good written and verbal communication skills. - Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills based on Ford+ Behaviors. - Demonstrated conflict management skills. Desired Experience / Technical Skills: Candidates should have experience in the following areas: - Operating and troubleshooting TCP/IP and Ethernet-based networks in enterprise environments. - Solid experience with Cisco / Palo Alto technology, including routing, switching & security. - Firewall systems administration and operation, preferably Cisco ASA / Firepower platforms or Palo Alto Strata Cloud Manager. - IPSec VPN setup, configuration, troubleshooting, management. - Automation/Scripting skills. - Working knowledge of API management tools. - Knowledge of coding, network automation, orchestration, virtualization, and Security. - Hands-on experience with Data Network Security, Segmentation, and Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA). Job Responsibilities: Your responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, the following: - Delivering global connectivity and security services for Suppliers worldwide to meet service SLAs. - Collaborating with internal stakeholders to understand their connectivity requirements. - Designing and implementing solutions to support access to internal resources. - Liaising with third-party teams for solution components. - Implementing solutions for logging, monitoring, and alerting. - Developing and maintaining Service Metrics for quality improvement. - Leading security audits to ensure compliance with standards and policies. - Enforcing policy frameworks for access, micro-segmentation, ZTNA, and continuous monitoring. - Conducting firewall rule reviews, optimizations, and updates. - Collaborating with Cyber Security response teams. - Leading Scripting/Automation initiatives for team efficiency. - Coordinating Networks Extranet Projects. - Providing 3rd level technical support. Overall, this role requires strong attention to detail, critical thinking skills, ability to manage multiple issues simultaneously, and effective collaboration with cross-functional teams.,
