In this role, you will ensure the reliability, availability, and performance of BMC's global network infrastructure. Key Responsibilities: - Monitor and maintain the operational health of BMC's network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, and other network devices. - Perform real-time monitoring of network traffic, system alerts, and performance metrics to identify and resolve potential issues. - Proactively respond to network incidents, troubleshoot root causes, and implement corrective actions to minimize downtime and service disruptions. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to coordinate network maintenance activities, software upgrades, and configuration changes. - Document network configurations, procedures, and incident resolutions to ensure knowledge sharing and operational continuity. - Implement and enforce network security policies, access controls, and compliance requirements to protect network assets. - Conduct regular performance analysis and capacity planning to anticipate future network requirements and optimize resource utilization. Qualifications Required: - 2-3 years of experience in network operations roles, with a focus on monitoring, troubleshooting, and maintaining enterprise-level network infrastructure. - Proficiency in network protocols and technologies, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, BGP), VPNs, and WAN optimization. - Experience with network monitoring and management tools (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, Wireshark, SolarWinds). - Deep understanding of network security principles, including firewall configuration, intrusion detection/prevention, and access control lists. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex network issues in a timely manner. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
