Position : Lead Network
Reports To: Digital CTO Thermax Limited.
Job Overview:
The Lead Network Manager is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's network infrastructure. This role involves managing a team of network engineers and administrators both inhouse and outsourced , ensuring the stability and security of the network, and supporting the company's operations .
Key Responsibilities:
1. Network Design and Implementation:
- Design and implement robust network architectures to support business and growth at all Thermax Locations.
- Oversee the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network hardware and software.
- Ensure network scalability to accommodate company growth and technological advancement.
- Lead the implementation of networking for greenfield factory locations and Offices.
2. Team Management:
- Lead, mentor, and manage a team of network engineers and administrators.
- Assign tasks, set performance goals, and conduct regular performance reviews.
- Provide training and development opportunities for team members.
3. Vendor Management
- Evaluate and Work with OEM vendors for selection of Long term solutions ,AMC and Upgrades
- Engage partners for services for maintenance and monitoring of Networking devices.
- Engage Communication partners for optimized links for performance and Cost.
4. Network Maintenance and Support:
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues to ensure minimal downtime.
- Implement network security measures to protect against threats and vulnerabilities.
- Manage network upgrades, patches, and routine maintenance of all Network devices.
5. Collaboration and Communication:
- Collaborate with IT Infra team and other departments (Admin) to understand network requirements and provide solutions.
- Communicate network status, issues, and projects to senior management and stakeholders.
- Liaise with vendors and service providers to procure and manage network-related products and services.
6. Project Management:
- Plan, execute, and oversee network-related projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
- Develop and maintain project documentation, including network diagrams, project plans, and status reports.
7. Network Security:
- Implement and manage network security protocols and policies.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate risks.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct root cause analyses.
8. Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date network documentation, including configurations, processes, and procedures.
- Generate regular reports on network performance, incidents, and project status.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in network management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of network infrastructure, including SD WAN , Communication ,Firewall technologies.
- Experience with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and network management tools.
- In-depth understanding of network security principles and best practices.
- Proven ability to lead and manage a team.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA, CCNP, CISSP) are a plus.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with industrial control systems (ICS) and operational technology (OT) networking.
- Deep Knowledge of cloud networking and hybrid cloud environments.
