Role & responsibilities

Field Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop, implement, and manage campus network infrastructure to meet business needs.
• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV cameras, and WIFI access points.
• Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, IP addressing, and subnets to ensure network connectivity and optimal performance.
• Provide hands-on field support for network issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime.
• Ensure the proper setup and maintenance of both wired and wireless networks.
• Conduct regular system checks and network monitoring to maintain high availability and performance.
• Work closely with the IT team to provide technical support for network infrastructure projects.
• Train and support end users and other team members on network-related best practices and solutions.
• Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a

  Network Engineer

  or similar role, with a focus on

  campus network infrastructure

  .
• Strong experience with the

  configuration and installation of network hardware

  (routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV systems, WIFI access points).
• Proficient in

  VLAN setup

  ,

  IP addressing

  ,

  subnetting

  , and configuring both

  wired and wireless networks

  .
• Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
• Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.).
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve network issues.
• Ability to provide on-site support and troubleshoot network infrastructure in real-time.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients.
• Valid network certifications (CCNA) are a plus

Preferred candidate profile

• Familiarity with wireless technologies, including WIFI mesh networks and advanced access point configurations.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
