Network Field Engineer

Role & responsibilities We are seeking a skilled and proactive Field Network Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the development, management, and maintenance of campus network infrastructure. You will ensure the smooth configuration and installation of network hardware, including CCTV, WIFI access points, and firewalls. This is a hands-on role that requires in-depth knowledge of VLANs, subnetting, IP address setup, and both wired and wireless networking. Key Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage campus network infrastructure to meet business needs. Install, configure, and maintain network hardware such as routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV cameras, and WIFI access points. Configure and troubleshoot VLANs, IP addressing, and subnets to ensure network connectivity and optimal performance. Provide hands-on field support for network issues, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing downtime. Ensure the proper setup and maintenance of both wired and wireless networks. Conduct regular system checks and network monitoring to maintain high availability and performance. Work closely with the IT team to provide technical support for network infrastructure projects. Train and support end users and other team members on network-related best practices and solutions. Document network configurations, changes, and troubleshooting steps for future reference. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Network Engineer or similar role, with a focus on campus network infrastructure . Strong experience with the configuration and installation of network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, CCTV systems, WIFI access points). Proficient in VLAN setup , IP addressing , subnetting , and configuring both wired and wireless networks . Hands-on experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies. Strong understanding of network protocols and technologies (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, etc.). Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve network issues. Ability to provide on-site support and troubleshoot network infrastructure in real-time. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively interact with team members and clients. Valid network certifications (CCNA) are a plus Preferred candidate profile Familiarity with wireless technologies, including WIFI mesh networks and advanced access point configurations. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
