Job Summary:

Network

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and manage secure network infrastructure across data centers, remote offices, and cloud environments.
• Configure, administer, and optimize

  Sophos Firewalls

  , including advanced rule sets, NAT policies, IPS, content filtering, and application control.
• Deploy and maintain

  site-to-site and remote access VPNs

  , ensuring secure and reliable communication between internal and external systems.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network performance, security, and connectivity issues across LAN/WAN/WLAN.
• Lead efforts in securing network access, segmenting traffic, and enforcing internal security policies across network layers.
• Integrate network systems with

  Sophos Central

   for endpoint protection and unified threat management.
• Analyze logs, identify threats, and respond to potential incidents using IDS/IPS, web filtering, and traffic analysis tools.
• Work with IT security teams on compliance, risk management, and implementation of standards like ISO 27001, NIST, or GDPR.
• Document network architecture, firewall policies, VPN configurations, and access control policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).

• 5+ years

   of experience in network engineering, with a strong focus on

  network

  security and firewall management

  .
• Proven hands-on experience with

  Sophos XG/Firewall

   configuration and

  Sophos Central

   platform.
• Extensive experience setting up and managing

  site-to-site VPNs

  , remote access VPNs, and secure tunnels.
• Deep understanding of networking protocols and services:

  TCP/IP, VLANs, BGP, OSPF, NAT, DHCP, DNS

  .
• Proficiency with monitoring and diagnostic tools (e.g.,

  Wireshark

  ,

  PRTG

  ,

  SolarWinds

  , etc.).
• Experience with high-availability network design, failover configurations, and load balancing.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Sophos Certified

  Engineer/Architect

   or similar firewall certification.
• Additional certifications:

  CCNP (Security or Routing & Switching)

  ,

  Network+

  , or

  CISSP

  .
• Familiarity with

  cloud

  networking

   (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and hybrid security models.
• Knowledge of

  Zero Trust

  Network

  Architecture

  ,

  NAC (Network

  Access Control)

  , or

  microsegmentation

  .
• Experience in regulated industries (e.g.,

  healthcare, finance, government

  ) is a plus.
