Modular & Scalable Design: Apply modular design principles to support product scalability, ease of customization, and production efficiency. Engineering Standards: Utilize GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) to ensure manufacturing precision and functional reliability. Design for Excellence (DfX): Implement DFMA (Design for Manufacturing and Assembly) and DFMEA (Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis) to improve design reliability and manufacturability. Prototyping & Validation: Conduct R&D activities, develop prototypes, and perform feasibility testing to validate design concepts and functionalities. CAD & Documentation: Create and manage 3D models, assembly drawings, BOMs (Bill of Materials), and comprehensive technical documentation using SolidWorks and AutoCAD. Cost Estimation & Forecasting: Prepare detailed cost breakdowns and provide accurate forecasts for design-related projects. Value Engineering: Analyze new and existing product designs for cost-saving opportunities through material alternatives, design optimization, and improved processes. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in product design (preferably in furniture, appliances, or smart electronic products). Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, and mechanical design tools. Strong knowledge of DFMA, DFMEA, and GD&T. Experience in developing IP-rated enclosures and insulated compartments is a plus. The ideal candidates will play a critical role in supporting our UK and international operations by preparing accurate estimates and presentation drawings tailored to client specifications. Key Responsibilities: Prepare detailed presentation drawings based on customer requirements using standard templates. Create precise cost estimates and quotations for both standard and custom locker solutions. Collaborate closely with UK-based counterparts for custom design and estimation requests. Convert client-provided data and specifications into actionable 2D AutoCAD drawings. Develop 3D AutoCAD assemblies for rendering by the Graphics team. Create 3D models from 2D references for components not available in the existing design library. Required Skills & Qualifications: 2–3 years of experience in AutoCAD (both 2D and 3D drafting).
