Network Engineer L2

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer with strong hands-on experience in Fortigate Firewalls, Switches, VLAN configurations, and Wireless Networks. The ideal candidate will also possess solid knowledge of Cybersecurity best practices to ensure the secure and efficient operation.

Role & responsibilities

• Configure, manage, and troubleshoot Firewalls, including policies, VPNs, and advanced security features.
  
• Design, implement, and support

  LAN/WAN infrastructure

  , including switches, VLANs, and routing.
• Manage and optimize wireless network solutions, ensuring performance, coverage, and security.
  
• Monitor network performance and proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve issues.
  
• Implement network security policies and standards to protect data, applications, and systems.
  
• Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to ensure compliance with industry best practices.
  
• Maintain documentation of network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
  
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting for network-related incidents.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  
• Proven hands-on experience with

  Fortigate Firewalls

  .
• Strong knowledge of

  Switches, VLAN configuration, and Wireless Network management

  .
• Good understanding of

  network security concepts, cybersecurity threats, and countermeasures

  .
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies.
  
• Industry certifications such as

  Fortinet NSE, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+

  are a plus.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
