Network Engineer

Job Description

Role & responsibilities: Assist in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Monitor network performance and troubleshoot connectivity issues. Support the design and deployment of new network solutions. Maintain network documentation, including topology and configuration settings. Ensure network security by assisting with firewall configurations and implementing network access controls, Help to support network-related incidents and escalate issues to senior engineers when needed. Skill set Required: Familiarity with network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.). Basic knowledge of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, HTTP, etc.). Understanding of network security principles and practices. Proficiency in troubleshooting network issues. Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Datadog, SolarWinds). Basic knowledge of routing and switching configurations. A strong understanding of IP addressing and subnetting. Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team-oriented environment. Certifications such as Cisco CCNA, AWS and Azure Networking skills are a plus. Experience in establishing IPsec and MPLS tunnels .
