Job Description

M365 AD Administrator

Role & responsibilities:

  • Administration, maintenance and monitoring of the M365-AD platform, including Active Directory (AD), Azure & M365 services (email, O365, OneDrive, SharePoint, Teams etc.).
  • Create, modify, and delete user accounts, groups, computer accounts, organizational units (OUs).
  • Manage permissions, access controls, and security policies while ensuring best practices and organizational policies are strictly enforced.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve platform issues and end-User reported issues (e.g. email delivery).
  • Provide L1/L2/L3 support on AD, Azure & M365-related tasks.
  • Monitor platform performance and address any issues, updates or vulnerabilities.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve M365-AD platform operations.
  • Collaborate with team members to foster knowledge sharing and support.
  • Inspire team members to accomplish objectives, strive for quality and improve efficiencies.

Technical Skills Required:

Other Requirements:

  • Minimum 5+ years of experience with Active Directory and M365 cloud services that gives the candidate an understanding of how they integrate.
  • Experience with Microsoft Admin Consoles.
  • Experience in Exchange Online administration.
  • Experience in SharePoint Online administration.
  • Experience in Teams administration.
  • Experience in Active Directory administration.
  • Experience in Azure AD (Group Management, Appv Registrations).
  • Experience with Active Directory Federation Services(ADFS) and Lightweight Directory Access Protocol (LDAP).
  • Knowledge of DNS, DHCP, and other network services.
  • Familiarity with Azure Active Directory and hybrid environments including Entra synchronization services.
  • Experience in Compliance & Security administration (DLP, Information Protection, Data Lifecycle Management, Vulnerability Remediation).
  • Experience in Endpoint services (Defender, Intune).
  • Experience in Power Platform administration (DLP Policies, Environment settings, supporting Power Automate Flows, PowerApps).
  • Proficient in PowerShell for basic commands/scripting.
  • Strong collaboration, teamwork and relationship building skills.
  • Demonstrates ability to interact with end-Users while listening and communicating effectively.
  • Able to communicate technical or complex subject matter in business terms.
  • Ability to set expectations to achieve goals.
  • A logical thinker focused on technical solutions.
  • Ability to use diplomacy to influence and motivate others using personal rather than positional power.
  • Demonstrates acumen and passion for technology.
  • Understands the IT industry, e.g. emerging technologies and trends, industry standards, solution architecture, and the vendor landscape.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Accepts ownership and welcomes responsibility.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills.
