We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Senior Database Developer to join our growing IT team at KWE. As a Senior Database Developer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and optimizing complex database systems to ensure high availability, performance, and security. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to create database solutions that support business operations, provide insights, and enable data-driven decisions. Role & responsibilities: Process driven with ability to interact with business users to gather business requirements and confirm solution design Ability to analyze business requirement and transform into system process Working Knowledge in freight forwarding / consolidation and/or 3rd Party Logistics industry will be advantages, particularly in ocean freight. Hands-on approach to problem solving, attention to detail and creative solution design Team player and able to manage in diverse workforces Superior presentation and communication skills, both written and oral. Skill Set Required: Writing, optimizing, and debugging SQL queries and PL/SQL code. This includes understanding database objects (tables, views, procedures, functions, triggers, packages), data types, and control structures. Ability to develop complex stored procedures, functions, and packages for business logic in Oracle or PostgreSQL. Designing efficient database schemas, understanding normalization, and ensuring data integrity. Managing and optimizing database objects such as indexes, materialized views, and synonyms. Analyzing and optimizing query and database performance, including indexing strategies and query tuning. Minimizing redo generation and leveraging Oracle features like native parallelism and bind variables. Technical Skills Required: PostgreSQL, Oracle Experience (Min ~ Max): 5 to 10 Years Need to have 5+ years development experience with PL/SQL programming using PostgreSQL, Oracle Proficiency with database performance tuning and optimization.
