Network Engineer

Position Summary

The Level 2 Network Engineer is responsible for supporting, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure. The role involves incident resolution, implementation of standard changes, and assisting in network upgrades under senior guidance.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor, manage, and troubleshoot LAN/WAN connectivity, switches, routers, and firewalls.
• Provide L2 escalation support for network incidents and service requests.
• Perform configuration changes on switches, routers, and wireless controllers.
• Manage VLANs, STP, routing (static, OSPF, EIGRP, BGP basic), and link aggregation.
• Ensure network uptime through proactive monitoring tools (SolarWinds, PRTG, etc.).
• Support VPN configurations (site-to-site and remote access).
• Assist in implementing network policies, QoS, and security controls.
• Coordinate with vendors and ISPs for network issues.
• Maintain documentation of network topology, IP addressing, and configurations.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science / IT / related field.
• 3–5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise networking.
• Proficiency in Cisco or Fortinet network devices.
• Good understanding of TCP/IP, routing, and switching fundamentals.
• CCNA or equivalent certification (mandatory).
• Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
