Network Engineer- IP TAC 2

About the Role:
As a Network Operations Engineer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our network infrastructure. You will be responsible for handling escalated calls, fault localization, and restoration, and coordinating with vendors to resolve complex issues.Key Responsibilities:Handle escalated calls from the TAC1 team.Localize and restore faults in nodes and applications.Escalate issues to vendors and coordinate with them for hardware/software resolution.Conduct service audits and develop improvement plans for recurring faults.Commission and provision new sites remotely.Interact with field support to resolve issues.Manage and resolve performance issues within the service.Coordinate with SME and SDE teams for provisioning-related issues.Perform network audits and changes in accordance with change control processes.Requirements:4-6 years of experience in data center or enterprise networks.Knowledge of routing protocols (RIP, OSPF, BGP) and switching (VLAN, STP, VTP, Dot1q).Experience with ILL, MPLS L3, multicast, and IPsec VPN services.Hands-on experience with Cisco ASR9K, ASR920, and Juniper MX series devices.Expertise in IP/MPLS and Metro Ethernet architecture.Cisco CCNA, CCNP, and CCIE certifications.Strong communication skills, technical documentation abilities, and process orientation.Experience with Cisco IOS, IOS-XE, IOS-XR, Cisco 3750, 3400, 2900 switches, access lists, prefix lists, offset lists, distribution lists, route maps, NAT, PAT, and network troubleshooting.Domain knowledge of IP/MPLS, MetroE, and SD-WAN (Meraki), Cisco ACI, and firewall (ASA or FortiGate).Mandatory Competencies:Experience working in an IP MPLS environment.Ability to work effectively as part of a team and collaborate across functions.
