Job Description

The Network Engineer is responsible for the installation, maintenance, support, and enhancement of the Company's network infrastructure, including areas such as network, security, wireless, Unified Communications, and Data Center. You will implement, configure, and support enterprise network systems globally and adhere to all Service Level Agreements established with the user community. It is essential to create reports, establish operational guidelines, and implement business continuity practices for network management. Additionally, you will support the data center environment, monitor network performance, diagnose network issues, and provide both emergency and scheduled maintenance. Furthermore, your responsibilities will include maintaining network configurations, updating the Information Systems staff and customers on issue resolutions, participating in strategic initiatives, evaluating network system upgrades, and securing network resources. You will also create and maintain automated systems and procedures for network operations, assist the Service Desk staff in streamlining daily operations, and coordinate with the user community for network upgrades and maintenance schedules. It is crucial to minimize downtime impact on users through accurate planning of scheduled downtimes and quick problem resolution for unscheduled downtimes. You must follow established standards for writing and documenting projects and network configurations, contribute to the development of new standards, participate in a 24/7 department on-call program, and work on special assignments as they arise. Your knowledge, skills, and qualifications should include supporting global sites utilizing various technologies, network security technologies, wireless network technologies, Unified Communications, standardized processes, and operational automation. Additionally, you should possess strong customer service, communication, analytical, problem-solving, collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively under pressure and handle multiple priorities simultaneously. To be eligible for this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, a related IT field, or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of 5 years of experience in network engineering. Possessing network-related certifications (CCNP, PCNSE, etc.) and experience with network technologies and products from Cisco, Palo Alto, Meraki, Cisco Unified Communications, LAN/WAN acceleration, load balancers, and Wifi technologies is preferred. You must also meet minimum qualifications such as being 18 years of age, passing a pre-employment drug screen, and background check. This role may require travel less than 5% of the time and involves largely sedentary work in a professional office environment while using standard office equipment.,
