Network Engineer

General Role - Network Engineer Mode - Work from Office Location Kottapuram Chennai Rotational Shifts Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled L2 Engineer with expertise in routing and switching, Cisco ACI, and multicast technologies to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance, security, and reliability. Key Responsibilities: • Design, configure, and troubleshoot Layer 2 network infrastructure, including VLANs, switches, and wireless LANs. • Implement and manage Cisco ACI (Application Centric Infrastructure) solutions, including Layer 3 multicast routing. • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance. • Perform advanced network configurations, including routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) and multicast protocols (PIM ASM, PIM SSM, Static RP). • Monitor network performance using network management tools and conduct regular maintenance checks. • Collaborate with other IT teams to maintain a cohesive and secure IT infrastructure. • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers. • Document network configurations, incidents, and resolutions accurately. Required Qualifications: • Bachelors degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field. • 4-5 years of experience in network engineering or administration, with exposure to complex troubleshooting and network management. • Industry certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) or Juniper Networks Certified Internet Specialist (JNCIS). Sensitivity Label: General • Deep understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP). • Hands-on experience with Cisco routers, switches, and wireless LAN controllers. • Familiarity with network management tools like SolarWinds, Nagios, or PRTG. • Knowledge of WLAN technologies and wireless network management. • Experience working in cross-functional IT teams and with third-party vendors. Preferred Qualifications: • Experience with Cisco ACI and Layer 3 multicast routing. • Familiarity with SD-WAN technologies. • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
