Network Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, deploy, and manage

  Cisco Nexus (2K/3K/5K/7K/9K)

  switching platforms in large-scale data center environments.
• Implement, configure, and troubleshoot

  Cisco ACI Fabric

  (APIC, leaf-spine architecture, tenants, policies, contracts, EPGs, BD, VRFs).
• Manage

  Nexus Dashboard

  ,

  NDO (Nexus Dashboard Orchestrator)

  , and integration with multi-site ACI environments.
• Configure and support

  overlay and underlay network technologies

  including

  VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, LISP, VPC, VDC

  , and

  FabricPath

  .
• Perform

  L2/L3 network configurations and optimizations

  VLANs, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, HSRP, VRRP, etc.
• Ensure network resiliency and scalability using technologies such as

  ISSU (In-Service Software Upgrade)

  and

  DC-Switching best practices

  .
• Maintain secure and efficient DC connectivity using

  MACsec, PFC

  , and QoS features.
• Collaborate with architecture and operations teams to drive standardization, automation, and performance tuning.
  
• Perform troubleshooting, RCA, and escalation management for critical network issues.
  
• Prepare detailed design documentation, operational procedures, and runbooks.
  

Required Skills (Must-Have):

• Strong hands-on experience with

  Cisco Nexus 2K/3K/5K/7K/9K

  platforms.
• Proven expertise in

  Cisco ACI Fabric deployment and management

  .
• In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with

  VXLAN, BGP EVPN, OTV, LISP, VPC, VDC, FabricPath

  , and

  ISSU

  .
• Strong understanding of

  L2 switching technologies

  : VLAN, VTP, STP, RSTP, MSTP, HSRP, VRRP.
• Good understanding of

  MACsec, PFC, QoS

  , and

  Data Center Switching concepts

  .
• Experience with

  Nexus Dashboard

  ,

  NDO

  , and

  Multi-site ACI environments

  .
• Proficiency in

  troubleshooting tools

  (CLI, DCNM, APIC GUI, SNMP, Syslog, Wireshark).
• Understanding of network automation concepts (Python, Ansible, REST APIs) is a plus.
  

Preferred Skills:

• Cisco certifications such as

  CCNP Data Center / CCIE Data Center

  .
• Exposure to

  ACI Multi-Pod / Multi-Site architecture

  .
• Familiarity with

  SDN, network automation, and monitoring tools

  .
• Experience working in large enterprise or service provider DC environments.
  

Educational Qualification:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
