Network Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our dynamic IT security team. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) frameworks, including Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA), and Web Application Firewall (WAF) technologies. They will also possess hands-on experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure, proficiency in Linux shell scripting, and in-depth product knowledge of at least two of the following: Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma, Barracuda SecureEdge, and Zoho Desktop Central. This role will focus on designing, implementing, and managing secure network architectures to protect our hybrid, cloud, and on-premises environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and Implementation

  : Architect, deploy, and manage SASE solutions to secure users, devices, applications, and data across distributed environments, ensuring seamless integration with cloud and on-premises infrastructure.  

• Security Policy Management

  : Configure and enforce granular security policies using ZTNA principles to provide least-privileged access, leveraging tools like Zscaler, Palo Alto Prisma, or Barracuda SecureEdge.  

• Firewall Management

  : Implement and maintain Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS) and Web Application Firewall (WAF) solutions to protect against advanced threats, including malware, ransomware, and application-layer attacks.  

• Cloud Infrastructure Security

  : Secure AWS and Azure cloud environments, including configuring security groups, network ACLs, and integrating SASE solutions with cloud-native services for optimal performance and protection.  

• Automation and Scripting

  : Develop and maintain Linux shell scripts to automate security tasks, monitor network traffic, and streamline deployment processes for SASE and endpoint management solutions.  

• Endpoint Management

  : Administer endpoint security and device management using Zoho Desktop Central, ensuring compliance, patch management, and secure configurations across enterprise devices.  

• Threat Detection and Response

  : Monitor network traffic, analyze logs, and respond to security incidents using tools like intrusion prevention systems (IPS), threat intelligence feeds, and advanced threat protection features.  

• Performance Optimization

  : Optimize network performance for SaaS and cloud applications (e.g., Microsoft 365) using SD-WAN capabilities within SASE platforms, minimizing latency and ensuring high availability.  

• Collaboration and Documentation

  : Work with cross-functional teams (e.g., DevOps, cloud architects) to integrate security solutions and maintain detailed documentation of configurations, policies, and incident response procedures.  

• Troubleshooting and Support

  : Provide advanced troubleshooting for SASE platforms, cloud infrastructure, and endpoint management systems, ensuring minimal downtime and rapid resolution of issues.
