Network Engineer

You will be responsible for deploying, maintaining, and troubleshooting scalable and secure network solutions using Cisco (Catalyst 9K, 4K series) and Juniper (EX Series) switching platforms. Additionally, you will configure and optimize routing protocols such as BGP, MPLS, OSPF, and EIGRP across Cisco and Juniper devices. Your role will involve implementing and managing wireless networks using Cisco (Aironet, Catalyst) or Juniper wireless technologies. You will also implement and optimize SD-WAN solutions from Versa or Cisco (Viptela) to enhance network performance and reliability. Ensuring adherence to enterprise networking standards and best practices in design, implementation, and documentation will be a key aspect of your responsibilities. Developing comprehensive network documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and operational procedures, is also essential to this role. Providing on-call support and participating in troubleshooting and RCA for network incidents and outages will be part of your duties. Collaborating effectively with multiple vendors and internal teams to deliver integrated network solutions is crucial. Additionally, you will provide technical guidance as a subject matter expert in networking technologies for Network Operation. You must hold a Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field and have at least 7 years of progressive experience in enterprise-level networking with a focus on Routing, Switching, Wireless, and SD-WAN technologies. Expertise in Cisco switching platforms (Catalyst 9K, 4K series) and Juniper switching technologies (EX Series) is required. Hands-on experience with advanced switching technologies and protocols, routing platforms, wireless technologies and standards, routing protocols, and SD-WAN technologies is essential. Certifications such as CCNP, JNCIP-ENT, or equivalent certifications in networking technologies are preferred. To succeed in this role, you should be a senior-level professional capable of managing critical/complex environments. You must be passionate about technology and experienced in designing, implementing, troubleshooting, and managing enterprise network and security platforms. Demonstrating deep expertise in technical and security process design, maintaining the state enterprise network and security infrastructure, and collaborating with end-users/teams to support their requirements are key aspects of this position. Desired attributes include experience with network automation tools/CI-CD pipeline and scripting languages (Python, Ansible, Jenkins), tools like Visio, Lucid, virtualization technologies, Linux, cloud networking technologies (Azure, AWS), and network development tools (GIT, Docker, Jinja etc).
