Netsuite Functional Consultant

Role & Responsibilities

• Lead the end-to-end implementation of NetSuite ERP for finance and accounting operations, including requirement gathering, solution design, configuration, testing, and deployment.
• Collaborate closely with finance, accounting, and cross-functional business teams to understand operational challenges and translate them into scalable NetSuite solutions.
• Configure key NetSuite modules such as General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Financial Reporting, Budgeting, and Cash Management.
• Optimize existing NetSuite functionalities by identifying process gaps, recommending improvements, and implementing automation to enhance financial workflow efficiency.
• Manage system integrations with third-party applications, ensuring seamless data flow and alignment with financial processes.
• Develop and maintain detailed documentation including functional specifications, process flows, user guides, and training materials.
• Conduct user training sessions and support end users in adopting new workflows, reports, and system enhancements.
• Troubleshoot system issues, perform data validations, and collaborate with technical teams to resolve bugs or configuration concerns.
• Assist in month-end and year-end financial close activities by ensuring system stability, accuracy, and timely data availability.
• Create and customize dashboards, KPIs, saved searches, and financial reports to support business insights and decision-making.
• Ensure system compliance with internal controls, audit requirements, and financial regulations.
• Stay updated with NetSuite releases, new features, and best practices to continuously improve the ERP environment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with NetSuite ERP implementations and support in a finance-focused role.
• Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and core finance operations.
• Ability to translate business requirements into functional solutions within NetSuite.
• Experience with workflows, saved searches, Suite Analytics, and financial reporting tools.
• Familiarity with integration concepts and working knowledge of API-based or middleware integrations (preferred).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work with cross-functional teams and manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
• NetSuite certification (Finance or ERP Consultant) is a plus.
