Job Description

Role & responsibilities

Experience in performing various analysis and calculations to establish hull strength and integrity (fatigue life etc.) for all load cases from various operating and storage parameters & conditions in applicable environmental conditions during the operating life of the asset, to select suitable vessel with recommendation for required modification and upgrade. The recommendation and the conversion scope definition provided shall establish suitability for operating life without drydocking.
Hands on experience in performing static, dynamic & global analysis utilising commercially available software ANSYS AQWA, ORCAFLEX, GENIE, MOSES etc. Preparation of reports and obtaining approvals.
Generation of necessary documentation and reports for classification society approval and perform necessary coordination to receive acceptance & approvals.
Scope writing, selection and supervision of special studies such as dedicated collision, hull resistance, under water explosion etc. and apply the loads for necessary integrity / safety checks.
Selecting suitable lab for performing tests for integrity checks and vessel stability checks for the simulated conditions.

Provide overall mooring definition and sizing of the mooring system and its equipment and components. Expertise to size mooring piles performing required analysis using relevant software.
Experience in preparation of specification, data sheet and lists for mooring system equipment and items, marine systems and items and in performing procurement engineering and inspection and test
