- Assist with reviewing, drafting, negotiating and structuring of a broad range of commercial contracts, including master services agreements, IT services agreements, such as Cloud and SaaS arrangements, intragroup arrangements, partnership agreements and other ancillary business agreements.
- Work closely with the Sales Team at various stages of the contracting process. This includes:
- Advising on legal issues regarding contracts and assisting with contract renewals and termination;
- Preparing contract summaries, risk reports and stakeholder briefing documents.
- Communicate and negotiate with external parties (external clients, partners, external counsel, etc.)
- Advise on all contentious and litigious matters involving third party supplier arrangements.
- Develop integrated relationships and credibility with key members of businesses Liaise with and manage relations with relevant stakeholders (including business / tech / HR /marketing colleagues) to deliver a high standard of legal advice, acting as the initial point of contact / support and trusted adviser.
- Provide risk management advice to the business.
- Ensure governance practices and monitor the effectiveness of controls.
- Track legal and regulatory developments affecting the payments industry
- Coordinate with external counsel and contribute to shaping internal legal policies and Minimum of 1-2 years experience as a qualified lawyer, including at least 1 year advising on fintech, payments, money transmission, or related financial services
- Experience in a law firm or in-house legal team within financial services industries
- Fluency in English required; additional languages are a plus
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate legal complexities into clear, actionable guidance
- Entrepreneurial mindset, high adaptability, and a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Demonstrated ability to manage external counsel and collaborate with internal stakeholders
