Music Teacher

Position Details

• Role: Music Teacher (English & Western)
• Location: Navdeep Public School, Kollam, Kerala
• Type: Full-Time

Responsibilities

• Teach vocal and instrumental music with emphasis on Western and English music styles (choir, band, classical, and contemporary).
• Train students for annual day, inter-school competitions, choir, and cultural programmes.
• Develop age-appropriate lesson plans for classes ranging from Play Class to XII.
• Introduce students to Western notation, harmony, rhythm, and performance techniques.
• Guide students in both solo and group performances, building confidence and teamwork.
• Collaborate with teachers for integrated arts-based learning.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Music or equivalent certification.
• Formal training in Western/English music (voice or instruments).
• Ability to play piano/keyboard or guitar is highly preferred.
• Previous teaching experience in schools will be an added advantage.
• Strong communication skills in English.
