Motor Winder – Steel Industry

Job Role & Responsibilities

• Motor Winding & Repair
• Carry out winding, rewinding, and repair of AC/DC motors, alternators, and generators used in steel plant operations.
• Diagnose faults in coils, windings, and insulation, and perform necessary rewinding or replacement.
• Maintenance & Servicing
• Perform preventive and breakdown maintenance of motors, ensuring minimal downtime in production.
• Conduct insulation resistance tests, continuity checks, and balancing of windings.
• Installation & Commissioning
• Support installation and commissioning of new motors, transformers, and related electrical equipment.
• Ensure proper alignment and connection with drives and control systems.
• Safety & Compliance
• Follow electrical safety standards, lockout–tagout procedures, and plant safety guidelines.
• Maintain compliance with industry regulations and company maintenance policies.
• Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain records of motor history, winding data, spares used, and maintenance schedules.
• Provide reports on faults, repairs carried out, and recommendations for improvements.
• Collaboration
• Coordinate with the electrical and mechanical maintenance teams for smooth plant operations.
• Provide technical input during equipment upgrades or procurement of motors.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
