Job Description

Lam Research is looking for Modeling Engineer 5 to join our team

Lead and execute CFD simulations involving low-pressure flow, heat, and mass transfer.
Evaluate and decide between analytical modeling and complex simulations based on problem scope.
Develop and validate models using commercial CFD tools such as ANSYS Fluent or StarCCM+.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CFD insights into product and process development.
Optimize simulation workflows for performance and accuracy on HPC platforms.
Document findings and present results to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Mentor junior engineers and contribute to technical strategy and innovation.

Job Requirements

Experienced professional in applied CFD, preferably in semiconductors.
Strong fundamentals in transport phenomena, thermodynamics, and numerical methods.
Experience with low-pressure systems such as vacuum environments or microfluidics is desirable.
Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or MATLAB, and HPC job scheduling tools like SLURM or PBS.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Demonstrated ability to innovate and work independently in a dynamic setting.
