Position Value Proposition The Senior Modeler position is responsible for quality and on-time delivery of the project deliverables from a Tekla Model during a project life cycle pertaining to structural steel detailing. Demonstrate knowledge of error free and smart modelling techniques. This role includes collaborating closely with the checkers, modelers, and the other detailing crew in support of meeting the project requirements/schedules Core Responsibilities Responsible to study Client drawings and project standards and prepare project checklist Responsible to create Tekla project setup - Part prefix, Numbering, Phase, Sequence etc… Responsible to provide appropriate inputs and coordinate with development team to create any automated connections and validate the outcome Responsible to coordinate with 3D checkers for first article connections Responsible to apply complex manual connections which involves multiple planes Responsible for Numbering the model and creating the drawings Accountable to validate ABM, reports and the project deliverables created by MCT and perform the same during their absence. Responsible to ensure that the DBMV process is followed during job execution Responsible to identify the problem statement & write RFI’s / ICM’s in VM as per the expected standards Responsible for preparing CDS and tagging the members in VM on a timely manner Responsible to co-ordinate with Senior Checker and Team lead for smooth execution of job Responsible to share knowledge & nurture Junior Modelers Responsible for execution of change work, including updating and managing all changed / updated drawings. Should be completely familiar with DBMV and Client process for change work. Work Experience Experience working/modelling in Large and Complex Projects with 6+ years’ experience in Structural Steel Detailing is preferred.
