Position Value Proposition The Senior Checker position is responsible for quality of the deliverables of an assigned project pertaining to structural steel detailing. Demonstrate knowledge of attaining quality by being proactive to prevent any possible slip-ups. This role includes collaborating closely with the modellers and other detailing crew in support of meeting the project requirements/schedules. Core Responsibilities Responsible to study Client drawings and project standards and prepare project checklist Responsible to QC the first article drawing/connections of complex nature Responsible to check and finalize the E-Plan, AB-Plan, Embed Plan Responsible to prepare EOR and Erector notes and ensure that they are placed on the drawings Accountable to ensure the DBMV process execution at the checking level Responsible to suggest on automation requirements wherever possible Responsible to identify the problem statement & write RFI’s / ICM’s in VM as per the expected standards Responsible for tracking RFI’s in VM and closing them on a timely manner Responsible for reviewing DCN’s and closing them on a timely manner Responsible to stay abreast on the checking procedures and perform tasks when assigned as a ‘Checker’ based on project needs Responsible to share knowledge & nurture Junior checkers to deliver quality output. Work Experience Experience working in Large and Complex Projects with 6+ years’ experience in Structural Steel Detailing is preferred.
