Mobile Application Tester

Mandatory Skills:

• Candidate would be an expert in mobile native manual app testing on both android and iOS platform with 2+ years of minimum experience.

• Knowledge of XPath, CSS, DOM, POM

• Ability to work in a fast-paced Agile environment

• Should have extensive knowledge of SDLC.

• Should be able to understand business requirement and technical solution and document gap analysis

• Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Experience with requirement manager & test management tools like Test Rail, JIRA

• Having primary knowledge of Web services and verification using postman

• Apply mobile design and user experience principals

• Performing technical work requiring application of basic Software Testing & Quality Assurance methodologies

Desired Skills:

• Tech: Java, XPath, CSS, DOM, Rest API, XCode

• Tools: XCode, Postman, Appium, Flutter, Perfecto, Firebase, AWS, Docker

• Candidate should have knowledge of mobile automation using Java + Appium.

• Extensively used Xcode or similar tool for capturing logs and app installation.

• Should be a white box tester with 2+ coding experience in Java

• Knowledge of Jenkins, SVN/GIT, CICD is a plus

• Should have hands on with mobile automation tools like Perfecto Mobile, Appium

• Knowledge of Jenkins and other DevOps tools

Responsibilities:

• Measure level of effort during sprint planning, work with engineers and product team to commit to team delivery of sprint deliverables, validate acceptance criteria, help define acceptance criteria with product, write test cases, manage test suites, create and execute a test plan, update test cases on requirement updates, regression testing, exploratory testing, and work for the general performance, security, and maintainability of the mobile app (iOS & Android).

• Deliver highly detailed reproduction steps to developers for defects.

• Responsible for comprehensive mobile app testing and coordinate closely with development teams and release planning.

• The tester will be working with requirements that are often ambiguous, high level, and non-technical; an essential trait is that of assertiveness in working with a number of different areas/people to ensure ambiguity of requirements are thoroughly addressed.
