Job Description

Role Overview

designing, developing, integrating, and commercializing software for audio/voice use cases on Qualcomm DSPs

The position requires a strong understanding of DSP architecture, Qualcomm's proprietary DSP RTOS, audio/voice frameworks, and various audio interfaces. You will collaborate with global teams across Hardware, HLOS, and Audio Tuning.

Key Responsibilities

Design, implement, optimize, and maintain
DSP-based software modules
for audio/voice use cases.
Work with
DSP frameworks, services, drivers
, and proprietary RTOS.
Optimize software for
MIPS and memory usage
.
Develop and enhance
audio/voice frameworks
, including drivers for audio interfaces.
Troubleshoot issues across the audio DSP pipeline.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams globally.
Support requirements analysis and integration for new audio/voice features.

Required Skills & Experience

Technical Expertise (12 years+ in DSP/Embedded preferred)

Strong proficiency in
C/C++ programming
and computer architecture.
Knowledge of
multi-threaded programming
and
RTOS
, ideally on DSP platforms.
Experience with
audio use cases
(playback, recording, streaming).
Experience with
voice use cases
(CS/PS calls).
Familiarity with
audio/speech pre/post-processing
:
Echo cancellation, noise suppression, audio effects, etc.
Understanding of
audio/speech codecs
:
MP3, AAC, FLAC, AMR, EVS, etc.
Expertise with DSP tools:
Trace32, JTAG
, debugging tools.
Experience with audio interfaces such as
I2S, HDMI, SPDIF
.

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
6+ years of software engineering experience
, including:
Solid programming experience in
C, C++, Java, Python
, etc.
