Migration Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Provide prompt support via tickets or live chat
• Working on Migration Analyze clients current hosting environment (cPanel, Plesk, custom setups).
• Assess compatibility, potential risks, and downtime requirements.

• Perform migrations of websites, databases, emails, and DNS records using cPanel/WHM, Plesk, FTP, and SSH.

• Carry out manual or automated migrations depending on complexity.
• Validate migrated websites (content, functionality, SSL, performance).

• Manage and configure hosting control panels (cPanel/WHM, Plesk).

• Set up new accounts, domains, subdomains, email accounts, and databases.
• Troubleshoot panel-specific issues during and after migration.

• Ensure secure transfer of data during migration (SSH/SCP, SFTP).

• Apply proper file/folder ownership and permissions.
• Validate SSL certificates and security configurations post-migration.

Preferred candidate profile

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in the English and Hindi language.

• Ability to work well with a team in a fast paced, constantly changed environment and follow instructions from supervisors and senior colleagues.
• Troubleshooting a variety of technical and non-technical issues customers are having with their web hosting plans and services.
• Any Degree
