MIG Welder

Job Title: MIG Welder – Sheet Metal Manufacturing Department: Fabrication / Production Reports To: Welding Supervisor / Production Manager Location: Hingna Employment Type: Full-time Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and reliable MIG Welder to join our manufacturing team specializing in sheet metal fabrication. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing MIG welding on various gauges of sheet metal to fabricate parts and assemblies according to blueprints, drawings, and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Perform MIG welding on sheet metal components (typically from 18 gauge to 10 gauge or thicker). Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and welding symbols. Set up welding machines based on the job requirements (wire size, gas flow, voltage, etc.). Prepare metal surfaces by grinding, cleaning, or cutting as needed prior to welding. Perform quality checks and inspect welds for accuracy, strength, and appearance. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Operate fabrication tools such as grinders, cutters, clamps, and other shop equipment. Work collaboratively with fabricators, assemblers, and supervisors to meet production goals. Follow company safety policies and OSHA standards at all times. Assist in other areas of the shop when needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as a MIG welder in a manufacturing or sheet metal environment. Ability to read technical documents, blueprints, and weld symbols. Skilled in using welding equipment and hand/power tools. Knowledge of various metals and their welding properties (steel, aluminum, stainless steel, etc.). Good physical condition and stamina; able to lift up to 50 lbs. Strong attention to detail and focus on producing quality welds. Welding certifications are a plus (AWS or equivalent). High school diploma or GED preferred; vocational training is a plus. Working Conditions: Exposure to hot, noisy, and dusty environments. Use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) required: gloves, helmet, safety glasses, steel-toed boots, etc. May require overtime or shift work depending on production needs. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive hourly wage based on experience and certifications. Overtime pay and shift differentials (if applicable).
