Description
Client: Our client is a leading provider of home health services for medically fragile children across multiple states. With a strong focus on clinical excellence and continuous growth, they leverage innovative digital solutions to enhance care and streamline healthcare delivery. Project overview: The platform is a digital solution offering secure communication, efficient care coordination, and real-time updates. Our team is responsible for its ongoing development, support, and modernization ensuring seamless functionality and compliance with healthcare standards. Responsibilities: Set up AWS infrastructure using an Infrastructure as Code tool (CloudFormation, Terraform, or similar) Configure EC2, RDS (MariaDB), and VPC networking for the Laravel application Implement secure CI/CD pipelines for: Laravel backend (PHP), Database migrations, Unit/integration tests, Zero-downtime deployments Set up scheduled data jobs and integrations with: Azure SQL, Snowflake, MariaDB, Other 3rd-party systems Automate backups, log rotation, and monitoring (CloudWatch or similar) Ensure HIPAA-aligned baseline security: WAF, Security group rules Implement alerting and recovery strategies for failure scenarios 3+ years of experience in DevOps Expertness in: AWS services (EC2, RDS, S3, VPC, IAM, CloudWatch), CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, CodePipeline, or similar), Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or AWS CloudFormation), Basic scripting in Bash or Python Familiarity with Laravel (PHP) deployment processes Experience with MariaDB, Azure SQL, and Snowflake integrations Solid understanding of networking, firewalls, and security best practices Nice to have: Understanding of HIPAA and other general healthcare compliance standards Experience with Docker and basic container orchestration Familiarity with monitoring tools (Datadog, Prometheus, etc.)
