Position Name : Manager / Sr. Manager - Mine Planning

Location : West Bengal

Qualification : B.E / B. Tech (Mining) or B.SC / M.SC (Geology)

Experience : 8+ Years

The candidate should have prior experience into operating mine planning software.

Job Purpose:

Managing due diligence of mineral property; starting with Database Management, block modelling, resource & reserve estimation, conceptual pit designing, mine development and production scheduling within the granted or upcoming Mining Leases for business excellence.

Roles & Responsibilities:

• Establishing, maintaining and improving standards by ensuring high technical standards in database Management, block modelling, resource estimation, pit design, haul road design, long and short term mine planning, development and production scheduling program and to ensure that the works are undertaken to the plan and in accordance with the prevailing legislation and statute.
• Generate and systematically evaluate existing targets and projects.
• Planning, budgeting and scheduling of mine planning & scheduling programs for existing and upcoming projects.
• Mineral province analysis, identify and evaluate acquisition opportunities, Due-diligence studies.
• Identification, interaction and managing with internationally recognized external service providers and consultants for execution of different outsourced jobs and implementation of advanced and best practices.
• Oversee resource & reserve evaluation, production and development operations at different project locations.
• Co-ordinate, monitor and execute different activities as per the plan with Head Geology along with cross-functional team of operation, logistic, finance, Processing Engineers, CSR and others to achieve project deliverables.
• Ensure all data generated through multidisciplinary geological & mining activities meet the highest level of standards of QA/QC compliance.
• Maintain and review the mine development on an ongoing basis to ensure information is always up-to-date, adhering statutory compliances.
• Delivery of long and short term mine development and production scheduling Models and interpretations, including grade wise Resource and reserve estimation using mine planning software.
• Preparedness to review, change and flexibly in managing plans subject to the needs of the business.
• Ensure all operations are conducted with high level of integrity and in accordance with HSE standards and procedures.
• Ensure all the work practices and systems within the various projects/operations are consistent with all policy and procedures (safety, environment, health and cultural heritage) and local statute.
