As a Procurement and Expediting Specialist for Electrical parts in the Rooftop, C&I, SME, and Rural Solar segments, your responsibilities will include sourcing Inverters, Busduct/cables, SCB/SMB, Transformers, NFIPS, Transmission lines, Switchyards, Meters, SCADA systems, Weather monitoring systems, PPC, PE Modelling, Fire Detection systems, MC4 connectors, Street lighting, Earthing materials, UPS, CCTV systems, VFD-based devices, and Battery Energy Storage systems. Post PO award, you will be responsible for expediting commercial milestones, proto/engineering approvals, tracking raw materials/bought out materials ordering and supply, manufacturing, inspection, shipment, and delivery in alignment with PO and Project requirements. Collaboration with project planning and project teams to meet delivery timelines will be a key aspect of your role. You will attend supplier review meetings, either onsite or virtually, to ensure timely deliveries within the agreed lead times. Implementing cost reduction initiatives and managing supplier relationships effectively will also be part of your responsibilities. To qualify for this role, you should hold a B-Tech/BE degree in Electrical/Electronics with 10-15 years of experience in power sector electrical parts procurement. Proficiency in analytical tools like Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint is required, and knowledge of SAP is desirable. Strong communication skills, result-oriented mindset, ability to manage conflicting priorities, autonomy, and team management skills are essential. Key Responsibilities: Study and analyze project BOQs, tender documents, single line diagrams (SLDs), and electrical specifications. Prepare detailed cost estimates for LT panels like PCC, MCC, AMF, APFC, DBs, and control panels. Select appropriate components (MCCBs, MCBs, ACBs, busbars, relays, meters, etc.) from reputed brands (Siemens, Schneider, L&T, ABB, etc.). Prepare Bill of Materials (BOM) and estimate cost of raw materials, wiring, fabrication, and labor. Take quotations from suppliers and incorporate the best pricing into the costing sheet. Coordinate with the design, procurement, and sales teams to finalize offers. Prepare and submit techno-commercial proposals within deadlines. Maintain historical cost data and update component pricing periodically. Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness and efficiency. Attend technical discussions and pre-bid meetings, if required. Requirements: Education: Diploma or B.E./Btech in Electrical Engineering. Experience: Minimum 1 years in estimation or design of LT panels. Strong knowledge of switchgear and electrical standards (IS/IEC). Ability to interpret electrical drawings (SLD, GA, wiring). Proficiency in MS Excel; familiarity with ERP systems or panel design software is a plus. Knowledge of market pricing for standard LV components. Good communication and documentation skills.
