Merchandiser

The ideal candidate will be responsible for coordinating with the design department to develop new samples as per buyer requirements on a day-to-day basis. You will be in charge of maintaining order and sample files, as well as coordinating and dispatching samples to buyers and buying agencies. Vendor management and sourcing of products or raw materials will also be part of your responsibilities. To excel in this role, you must possess excellent communication skills and be computer literate. A good understanding of product knowledge, especially of fabric and fabric work such as weaving, stitching, embroidery, beadwork, and printing, is essential. You will be expected to ensure timely and smooth execution of orders, handle buyer meetings, and understand their needs and requirements in terms of product, target price, and quality. Costing of products and sending photo offers to customers will be a key aspect of this position. You will also coordinate sampling with factories and outside vendors to guarantee on-time and quality shipments. A solid knowledge of measurements and the ability to maintain spec sheets for samples are crucial for success in this role. This is a full-time position based in Gurgaon, and candidates from Gurgaon will be preferred. The ideal candidate should have at least 3 years of experience in merchandising.
